celebrating Snooky's 80th birthday were a bunch of players, mostly from Chicago. Pinetop's 88-years-old, and Willie Smith looks like the youngest of the group. The music is not sleepy at all. Powerful harmonica playing from Snooky, as good as ever. His voice sounds a little broken, though. Brown plays some great guitar, and the rhythm section delivers a fine backbone. Excellent, traditional style album, also great in sound. SNOOKY PRYOR - hca/voc, PINETOP PERKINS - pno, MEL BROWN - gtr, BOB STROGER - bass, WILLIE SMITH - drums.
